Laird Leavoy, President

I have 25+ years in the wholesale drug and pharmaceutical industry. Before joining APRx in 2010, I was a segment VP for AmerisourceBergen (ABDC), overseeing the daily sales and operations in regions stretching from Texas to Florida. At ABDC, I was the top performing retail vice president in the nation, earning President’s Club honors from 2007-2009 and top district director honors in 2000, 2002, 2004-2005 for the best performing sales team in the nation. Prior to that, I directed the Texas pharmacy sales team for FoxMeyer Drug Corp. I earned my BBA in organizational leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

What I enjoy most about interacting with APRx members and prospects is demonstrating that every day, the APRx team is rigorously striving to achieve our mission statement to protect, defend and enhance their business model. 

My Personal Interest: I am the benefactor of the “Les Leavoy Cadet Flight Indoctrination Program,” which funds pilot training for eight kids annually.  The primary objectives are to encourage our youth to pursue a career as a United States Military Aviator and honor my dad’s 34-year career as an USAF fighter pilot.

College Experience Tidbit: I was appointed the Corp Commander (Cadet Col) of the AFROTC Detachment overseeing the training of the entire cadet corp.  This represented the top leadership position in the organization.
